Staff

First Friends teachers all meet the required qualifications that are set out by the Ministry of Community, Family and Children services, which also includes ongoing training for our staff. Every classroom in our daycare has at least one teacher with an ECE Degree and all teachers are required to be up to date on child development and classroom instructions.

Prior to hiring employees, volunteer and co-op students must provide a criminal reference check and health information, which are reviewed annually by the Ministry as well as ourselves. Our staff members are required to obtain a certification in infant CPR and First Aid.
